Michael came into the financial services industry from a background in the highly technical and complex world of engineering design and commercial construction. He finds great joy in helping clients grow their wealth and financial knowledge: by providing a personal plan for their financial future which aligns with their dreams and values, assisting them in implementing their plan, and watching them flourish as they achieve their financial goals and live life on their terms.
Originally born in Georgia, but raised on a small farm in rural Minnesota, Michael moved back to Atlanta to attend The Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. He spent six years in the U.S. Army Reserve while concurrently attending school and after graduation while working as a design, project and construction engineer. As a former Paratrooper and Squad Leader, Michael understands the importance of individual accountability, competence and trust in your team when your life is on the line; this holds true when planning and executing your goals for your financial future. As an engineer, Michael has designed and overseen the construction of numerous multimillion dollar projects in critical Air Traffic Control facilities up and down the east coast of the United States, where understanding and mitigating risk to the safety of the flying public is fundamental to success. He brings to bear on your behalf, the same reliability, attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills and dedication to service and excellence which are the foundation of his success as a soldier and as an engineer.
Michael currently lives in Marietta, GA with his wife Megann, who is also a veteran, and their three dogs Tony, Tina and Penny.
