Debbie Dorman began her career in the financial services industry in 1982 as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in New York and then Florida. In 2001, Debbie relocated to Georgia and worked at Met Life achieving "Super Starter" status.* Before joining NFSG in 2013, she held the position of Personal Banker and Brokerage Associate at Wells Fargo Bank where she was ranked 4th in the Southeast in acquiring investment business and earned the "Best Shot" Service Award. Debbie was born and raised in Connecticut but moved to New York to attend C.W. Post College on Long Island where she earned a B.S. in Marketing.
In her practice, Debbie works with individuals, small business owners and not-for-profits. She is committed to helping define goals and provide resourceful and appropriate financial solutions. Debbie has a passion for working with her clients and their legal advisors to design charitable giving strategies, particularly for dog and horse rescue, that help produce mid and long-range income streams. She regularly partners with other financial experts to provide her clients fully integrated solutions.
Debbie enjoys educating others about various financial topics and has conducted numerous workshops and seminars. These have included presentations for the Georgia Department of Labor's Annual Conference on Retirement and The International Christian Community of Churches. She has also been a featured panel speaker for Garden of Empowerment's. She currently facilitates Boot Camp for Divorcing Women within the Library System. She also hosts a Social Security Workshop within the library system and is available to teach this program for corporate lunch and learns.
Outside of the office, Debbie is a lifetime equestrian who enjoys riding her senior horses and volunteering for dog and horse rescue. She is an active member of and serves on the fundraising committee for SavetheHorses.org. In addition, Debbie has hosted Project Ride for emotionally at-risk youth at her farm in Florida and mentored many of the young girls who participated in her horseback riding program.
