
Curtis James, Jr. has been in the Financial Services Industry since 2011 and was previously a Partner with New York Life. His passion is helping individuals, families, and business owners reach their personal and financial goals, and making sure that they are financially literate in the areas of insurance services and retirement planning strategies.
In 2015, Curtis was recognized by the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors as a Top 40 Under 40 Advisor in the state of Florida. He currently serves as the President for the Jacksonville Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
Curtis attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he was awarded the AG Gaston and Presidential Minority Scholarships. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the School of Business.
Curtis is active in his community through the various charitable, industry, and civic organizations such as 100 Black Men of America, 5000 Role Models of Excellence, The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and The National Association of Black Accountants.
During his free time, Curtis enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth sports, reading, playing golf, and is a huge sports fan (Roll Tide!!).
Curtis is married to Maritza James, and they are the proud parents of two children. He and his family currently reside in Jacksonville, FL.
