Austin was born in Tyler, Texas but grew up in Watkinsville, GA. He discovered his penchant for Economics very early on in his life and has wanted to be a financial advisor for well over 13 years. He went to the University of Georgia where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics to help him realize his dream.
When asked about the most fulfilling part of his profession, Austin claims it is when he helps his clients retire and is able to see individuals with special needs thrive. His passion for helping the special needs seeps from his professional into his personal life as well, where he spends a significant chunk of his free time volunteering for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Austin’s brother, Dakota, has Cerebral Palsy and has been part of an organization called Extra Special People since 2000, which Austin believes has shaped him into the person he is today.
Austin went through a terrible tragedy when he lost his father in 2020 but did not let it bog him down, instead choosing to channel his grief into helping widows and divorcees including his mom through empowering women with their finances. He admits that he loves working with them and finds it rewarding. When he’s not working or volunteering, he loves to spend time with family and traveling the world with his family and friends. He’s also quite candid about his love for baseball and has visited 12 of the 30 MLB parks in the US with plans to see all 30 in the next few years.
